Elimu Fanaka is a non-profit organization working with rural public primary schools in Kenya to improve access to quality education and ultimately create sustainable communities. We are partnering with like-minded organizations, the Ministry of Education, the government, local community members, and individuals leveraging education as a tool and schools as centers for creating positive transformational change.

Our goal is to bridge needs and resources by creating sustainable and positive transformations across all the communities we work with.

NAWIRI

Storytelling

This program aims to improve access to high-quality education by employing various creative mediums such as Music, Dance, Art and Poetry hence supporting learners’ mental wellness by creating a safe space for them to express themselves.

Literacy

Aims to strengthen leaners through the acquisition of strong reading and writing skills, creating a reading culture, and promoting literacy as a fundamental tool for personal, educational and societal development hence improving leaners’ performance.

Mentorship

We support learners on important life skills, practical skills and inspire them to value education for success regardless of their situations and background. The program focuses on empowering learners  to understand how different experiences in life can affect their mental well being and upskill them to prepare them to navigate through life.

Klub Ujuzi

is a children’s table banking and mental health & wellness club designed for school-going youth ages 10-14 years (grades 4 to 8) in rural public primary schools in Kenya to train them on income-generating activities and support them in improving their mental health and wellness and fight some of challenges caused by the change by the in climate.

IMARISHA

Capacity Strengthening

program works closely with parents, teachers, and community members, engaging them in various trainings to empower them through economic and professional development and create a safe environment to support these learners holistically.
