Imarisha, “to strengthen” in Kiswahili, is a program dedicated to strengthening the professional and leadership growth of teachers and educators. The program’s central focus is on providing support and development opportunities to enhance their leadership skills, enabling them to offer comprehensive and holistic support to learners within and beyond the classroom.

 

Imarisha key Objectives

  • To empower and equip teachers with knowledge and skills for their career and leadership development.
  • To facilitate positive development of the teacher-learner relationship.
  • To uplift parents in their roles and responsibilities through financial independence.
  • To help our parents improve their parenting skills in nurturing future leaders.
  • To create awareness and advocate for good mental health for our parents and teachers in the pursuit of achieving their goals.
  • To build sustainable communities through social economic development.
  • To oversee that projects, events and activities are implemented and finally owned by the communities for sustainable development.

Imarisha facilitates trainings for teachers, impacting them to provide well-rounded guidance and care to learners across academic and non-academic aspects.

Through Imarisha, Elimu Fanaka collaborates school administration, parents, teachers and with like-minded partners, to fosters an environment of peer learning and continuous improvement, encouraging teachers and educators to engage in progressive learning both within and outside the academic sphere.

Ultimately, Imarisha aims to capacity strengthen teachers’ abilities, enabling them to positively impact learners’ lives and contribute to their holistic development, thereby fostering sustainable communities.
