Nawiri, which means “to thrive” in Kiswahili,  is an alternative learning approach that places a strong focus on learners’ mental health and overall well-being. The Nawiri program aims to improve access to high-quality education by employing various creative mediums. Additionally, the program offers mentorship in life skills, entrepreneurship, and Sexual Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) to learners.

Through this approach, we incorporates literacy sessions and activities such as reading seminars, creative writing exercises, and spelling bees. These sessions are designed to empower learners to recognize their potential and thrive in a holistic manner.

The Nawiri Program strives to create a comprehensive educational experience that not only imparts knowledge but also nurtures learners’ personal growth and well-being

Literacy

The literacy program aims to strengthen learners through the acquisition of strong reading and writing skills, creating a reading culture, and promoting literacy as a fundamental tool for personal, educational, and societal development.

We are dedicated to providing quality education and fostering sustainability  in rural communities through the constructing of libraries  and refurbishing of structures to libraries and fit them with literacy books for leaners in our partner schools.

We host monthly reading seminars that aim to ignite a love for reading and empower young minds. These engaging and interactive events take place every third Saturday of the month, bringing together students, educators, and occasionally community members in a celebration of knowledge and learning.
