Team Lead’s Message
Dear Partner,
It’s wonderful to connect again this quarter. I hope you had a wonderful summer and a tremendous fall for our friends in the Northern Hemisphere and a great third quarter for those of us on the continent.
This quarter we had a lot of events happening including elections in Kenya and we are grateful for witnessing a change of government peacefully. We are all so excited about the next 5 years and now more energized to collaborate with the government to advocate for access to quality education, climate action, and developing good policies around education for all children in Kenya.
One #BIGIdea is working collaboratively with the government to ensure our school becomes more environmentally conducive for all children and our learners become #ClimateActionChampions! Through Klub Ujuzi we are backing the tree planting campaign launched by the government and we are going further to not just plant trees but grow and nurture them – join us on this mission as we also launch our #BrownToGreenInitiative that’s aimed at ensuring all of our partner schools restore green life because…We can change this!!! OR can we???
It is my hope that you will enjoy this quarterly read from us and that you will be encouraged by the continued impact stories and engagement that the EF team and our stakeholders have had throughout this quarter. One of my most exciting updates for this quarter is our work around Systems Change for our communities and how we are collaborating with these communities to bring about the change and impact we all desire to see.
Now, I hope you will be inspired by the stories, insights, and updates shared here and that you will continue to champion our work, collaborate, and partner with us to improve the access to quality education in rural communities in Kenya.
